Cemeterian™ Master Class

The Cemeterian™ Master Class is designed to enhance the strategic skills and knowledge of cemeterians who encounter unique challenges in their operational and/or managerial roles. The Cemeterian™ Master Class is open to graduates of the Cemeterian™ Operations and Management course, or for those experienced cemetery operators and managers with significant knowledge of a cemetery environment. The course curriculum will reflect the most current emerging issues and trends affecting all cemetery stakeholders.

Topics include:

  • Abandoned Cemeteries: Current and Future Challenges
  • Cemetery Financial Management: Effectively dealing with a negative operational balance sheet
  • Interment Rights and the Open Market: Understanding the obligations and potential pitfalls
  • Death, Dignity and Worker Safety: Balancing customer service and staff protection
  • Open Forum: Participants are invited to bring their operational issues/questions to the course and share/learn from the group’s experiences and expertise. Issues/questions in advance of the course may be emailed to the facilitator at gbbarnes@rogers.com to allow for sufficient research time prior to the course start date.
