NON CERTIFIED ARENA OPERATOR
Parks and Recreation Department
Permanent, Full-time (40 hours/week)
Orangeville is a growing municipality, centrally located within commuting distance to Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga and Guelph. With a unique mix of historic charm and urban amenities, Orangeville offers abundant recreational and cultural opportunities.
The Town provides residents with two recreation facilities with a total of four ice/floor pads; two 6-lane pools plus a leisure pool; an indoor water slide; an indoor walking track; as well as banquet and meeting room facilities.
Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, the successful candidate will be involved in a diverse range of job activities in a multi-use sports complex including: maintaining a refrigeration plant; ice maintenance; swimming pool operations and maintenance; facility repairs; janitorial duties; assisting with the maintenance of various mechanical and HVAC systems; and record keeping. In addition, he or she must be prepared to work outside normal business hours.
The ideal candidate will have attained their secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent, Basic Refrigeration course and Certified Pool Operators course. Preference will be given to applicants with one year operation and maintenance experience in arenas and pools.
Hourly Range: $22.71 to $25.55 per hour, Grade 4 on the Town’s current pay grid, plus a comprehensive employee benefits package.
