FACILITIES MANAGER
The City of Welland is seeking a full time Facilities Manager. Under the direction of the General Manager of Parks, Facilities and Leisure Services, the Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Facilities Division of the Parks, Facilities and Leisure Services Department and of various municipal facilities and buildings including arenas, pools, fire halls, Civic Square, Historical Museum and the Court House. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the development, managing and monitoring of related budgets, staffing, capital projects, scheduling, working with user groups and day to day operations. This position also provides support to community volunteers and community leisure organizations.
The successful candidate requires:
- A University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Property Management or the equivalent in education and experience.
- Five years experience in the areas of planning and designing building repair/maintenance programs for building systems such as plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems.
- Previous experience/working knowledge of refrigeration and pool filtration would be an asset.
- Proven written and oral communication skills for report writing and tender preparation.
- Well developed computer skills for report writing, and a working knowledge of software programs relevant to facility management.
- Ability to organize and plan work accordingly to meet required deadlines.
The Corporation offers a comprehensive benefit package. The salary range for this position is $75,945.00 to $91,136.00.
