The “Refrigeration Safety Day” is an ORFA legacy project in remembrance of the three lives lost in Fernie, BC October 17th, 2017. Each October, the ORFA will pause to ensure the lessons learned that fateful day are not lost or repeated. This year, we will highlight the work that has been ongoing with the Technical Safety BC, Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, and Intact Public Entities to assist our members in better understanding roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders. This session is strongly recommended for any member who has operational, supervisory, or administrative responsibilities for a registered ice sheet refrigeration plant regardless of horsepower.

This course is worth 6 professional development credits towards recertification of any ORFA professional designation
