As Ontario Recreation Facilities Association Inc. (ORFA) members observe a graduated return to work and play, it is imperative that owners of recreation infrastructure carefully consider and plan for both reentry and reopening of these important assets. The ORFA’s Recreation Facility COVID-19 Reentering and Reopening Guiding Principles and Best Practices document is designed with both the interest of the worker and user in mind. Both worker and user health and safety must be primary concerns when making reopening and reentry decisions. Without healthy employees, employers will be unable to meet reopening objectives and users will lack confidence in the ability of recreation infrastructure to provide a safe and healthy environment in which we all work and/or play. As a benefit of membership, the first episode of ORFA's new podcast “FACILITY FOCUS” is shared providing a general discussion of recreation facility reopening and reentry, as well as an overview of the guide that has been created. You will be able to access the document either before or after listening to the podcast. |
