ORFA NEWS
December 19, 2025
On June 25, 2025, the ORFA conducted a special annual meeting to receive membership approval for an updated By-law in compliance with the Ontario Not-For-Profit Corporations Act. The By-law approval also included revisions to existing membership category definitions and who is eligible for access to these categories of membership.
With the approval of the 2026 Operating Budget by ORFA’s Board of Directors, all ORFA Membership Committee recommendations will be implemented as part of the 2026 membership renewal. This renewal includes a 2% consumer price index and a special 5% recovery in lieu of existing membership fees operating at 70% of true cost recovery. The special recovery rate will be a graduated process to generate an increased level of membership revenues that better reflects the true cost of providing membership benefits and services.
Renewal notices are in the process of being emailed to members. Please watch for your renewal email and you are thanked in advance for your continued support of ORFA.
