The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is considering undertaking a project to replace an existing single sheet ice arena and as part of that project enhance the recreational facilities, in or near the community of Mt. Brydges within the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.
As part of the Municipality’s due diligence, we believe that a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for the development/construction, maintenance, and operation of an Ice Arena and other amenities potentially including but not limited to recreation and entertainment, would be an excellent opportunity for collaboration between both the public and private sectors.
The Municipality is seeking a dynamic private facility operator/developer to collaborate with the development/construction, operation, and maintenance of a new facility. The PPP model will ensure a mutually beneficial partnership that leverages the strengths of both the public and private sectors.
Project Overview: The envisioned project aims to create a state-of-the-art Ice Arena along with related amenities, potentially including but not limited to recreation and entertainment, in or around the Mt. Brydges community. This initiative responds to the increasing demand for recreational facilities in this community, and it is envisioned to be a central hub for community engagement, offering residents and visitors a contemporary and adaptable space for ice and floor sports, fitness activities, and various community events.
