ORFA Member Code of Conduct

    Application

    This code of conduct applies to all members and is accepted at the time of being granted membership or annual renewal of membership.

    We keep facility patrons at the centre of all we do. We work to earn their confidence and trust. We follow the highest ethical standards and work with honesty, accountability, and fairness.

    Collaboration and Support

    We work together and help each other succeed. We share ideas, resources, and best practices to elevate the recreation facilities profession.

    Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest

    We acknowledge that our work requires discretion, and we strive to maintain strong moral and ethical principles and values.

    Compliance

    We follow all the policies, procedures, regulations, by-laws, and acts that apply to our work.

    Health and Safety

    We prioritize the health and well-being of our facility patrons, colleagues, employers, and communities served to ensure recreation facilities are operated safely.

    Leadership and Innovation

    We strive to be leaders in the recreation profession. We are open to new ways to improve how we serve our communities.
