The ORFA has actively explored what education and tools would best assist members who are in the care and control of guarded unattended registered ice sheet industrial refrigeration plants. The cornerstone of a safe refrigeration plant operation is the completeness and use of the required procedure manual as required under section 46 of the Operating Engineers Regulation. This requirement along with additional recommended best practices were highlighted in the TSSA Advisory (April 17, 2023). This workshop will provide a template to evaluate and strengthen current procedure manuals that meets industry best practices.
