2024 ORFA Refrigeration Safety Week

Ice sheets are an important part of Ontario’s recreational landscape. The ORFA is committed to educating stakeholders on the risks, hazards, roles, responsibilities, and regulatory compliance obligations associated with ice sheet industrial refrigeration ownership, operations, and management. Ontario’s aging recreation inventory combined with a high turnover of skilled operators and ongoing financial pressures of plant owners has created the potential for a higher probability of incident or accidents to occur. Together, through awareness and commitment we can dramatically reduce the potential for such an event.
