The ORFA’s provincial working group is noting a rising concern with the increased level of vandalism at outdoor recreation facilities.
The conversation was raised at last month’s virtual meeting and continued with a member sharing that, “Our outdoor bathroom season has not got off to an ideal start with a few damages already taking place in the first couple of weeks". Another member shared that,“we have had to hire a security guard to be on site to try and curb the vandalism. We were made aware of a trend that was going around where young people were making videos of themselves vandalizing washrooms and then posting the videos online”.
