The ORFA and Intact Public Entities (IPE) have very similar visions, goals and objectives in regards to making recreation safe through proven risk reduction and management principles. The ORFA and IPE jointly invested in the development of a comprehensive Recreation Risk Management Awareness Manual that is designed to assist recreation professionals in understanding what needs to be considered when offering recreational programs and services. The manual outlines risk reduction strategies while offering direction toward what tools should be considered as part of a recreation program development.

This manual is anticipated to be used as a guiding resource in every recreational environment regardless of location for years to come. The webinar will discuss the contents of the manual and will conclude with providing access at no-cost.
