Obituary for James "Doug" Douglas Paton

Passed away peacefully in his 85th year at St. Joseph’s Hospital on October 12, 2021.

Born in St. Thomas, Ontario, the eldest son of the late Hugh and Erma Paton. Survived by his daughter Leigh and son Brad (Tracey), sister Judith and brother Brian (Pauline) and grandchildren Michael and Megan. Special thanks to his neighbour and friend Pat Peters for her help and kindness to our Dad.

Doug was previously employed by the University of Waterloo as Coordinator in the Recreation Co-op Program and Mohawk College where he taught Recreation Facility Management for Commercial swimming pools. Upon his retirement, his expertise as an Aquatic Consultant was shared with many municipalities in Ontario. He was a long-time resident of Dundas.

He enjoyed the sport of harness racing and owned several standard bred horses over the past 35 years.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
