Candidate Profile - Western Region

With over 26 years of full-time experience in the recreation industry at both operational and management levels, I am very proud and excited to seek re-election to the ORFA board of directors for a second term. I currently hold the position of Director at Large and sit on the Awards Committee for the ORFA.

Employed by the City of Sarnia as the Superintendent of Recreation, my current areas of concentration are leading and mentoring staff, working with senior management staff to modernize recreation teams and services and developing relationships with stakeholders who care very deeply for their programs and facilities.

From my early days starting out in the recreation industry in the 1990’s to now, I find it very interesting how trends and hot topics have come and gone in the industry and how technology has changed during that time. Having the opportunity to work in different facilities, in different municipalities, it has allowed me to gain knowledge and experience that is beneficial to my workplace and the ORFA.

As the West Regional director, I look forward to working with our members and stakeholders who share the same values and love for the industry, and to serve the ORFA for an additional term.
